There were 70,237 fatal overdoses in 2017, in the U.S. alone, and that number has only gone up since.
Although the direct harm from this epidemic is staggering, the hidden harm to our society from the subsequent effects of this plague leaves none untouched by it.
Social opinion on this issue seems to find itself at either one end of a radical spectrum or the other. The problem incites hysteria. The solution is subject to endless debate that brings about even greater conflict.
The truth: addiction feeds of pain and wears ignorance like armor. But you can't really blame people for not understanding. Without experience and education, how could they?
the answer
Social conception is nothing more than the collective influences and experiences of society as a whole thus far and...
...there is nothing that has the power to influence social conception like film.
the mission
And so that it is the mission: to become the experience that influences social opinion, and to shatter misconception on a massive scale. These films will ultimately increase collective understanding of this phenomenon and likewise, increase collective effectiveness in dealing with it.
